Illustrating for Children's Health Education
GDHR is a free education resource delivered by the Western Australian Department of Health to support schools and educators to deliver comprehensive relationships and sexuality education.

Beginning in 2022, during the process of revamping their website, GDHR was seeking some updated illustrations to go with it. After further discussions, we decided that we would explore the creation of different 'characters' that young Western Australians could relate to and learn from.
Each character allowed for the opportunity to explore different stories and challenges that young people face, offering a wide range of information and resources that teenagers could then access.
In 2024-25 GDHR commissioned a further set of illustrations to feature in two educational resources: 'Puberty' and 'Relationships, Sex, and Other Stuff'. In these resources high schoolers learn about puberty, gender, relationships, body image, and more through the help of diagrams and images that are accurate and approachable.
